About money at the chilean branch office of the WT

hi dear friends.. as maybe you know, i'm an elder at one of the congregations in santiago of chile, and all the body of elders received a letter from the branch office saying that if the congregation has some money in a current account or so they would send it to the branch.

in june 2003, a letter about the contributions (donations) said that the money coming from all the congregations every month were so little (few), and they were worried about what are the publishers doing with their money.

this means that the chilean branch of the wt has some economical problems.

God only knows they're swimming in it, now that they sold some key property recently.

i don't post often here.

to be honest, i relate to almost everything i read here.

(((Lilacia))), I'm sorry you're feeling this way.

Still inside and somewhat perceived to be one of them by many, I can tell you that your sister's treatment towards you is the typical JW behavior with anyone, regardless if they're blood or not, that's not inside their click.

After so many hours of meetings a week, plus assemblies, and all other gatherings among them being fed that everybody else is a goner except for them when God's day of destruction comes, they make it a point to detach emotionally from anyone that's not a JW as to not feel anything for them when that day comes.

Just look at them, I mean the ones that really into it, how they deal with anybody else that's not a JW; in a very mechanical, formalistic sort of way. It's so weird!!!

Also, another thing that comes into play is this hyper-sensitive persecution complex that gets in the way or them interacting in a normal way with anybody else.

Awwwwwww, but they claim that they're the most loving, giving people in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, who knows, now that she'll be a mother, she'll look at the world differently and be forced to interact with other members of society; and then she may come around in a more welcoming way towards you and your family.

I hope you pour all your love, thoughts and energy into those that appreciate it and that in turn give the same back to you.

When I make my final exit, I don't think I'll need to go to therapy.

I feel fine with my decision to leave and have been building a life for myself outside of the Org. I'll be alright once I leave.

Fudging on "Field Service Report"

when i was a jdub i used to write down whatever hours i wanted to write down.

when i was pioneering for 7 years i would add a few hours to my time each month so that i wouldn?t fall too far behind.

even when i wasn?t pioneering though i would inflate my hours a bit sometimes so i wouldn?t have the elders hounding me about my time and also so i could hold a ?position?.

I may have to inflate it a bit more than usual so that hubby gets the much desired privileges he seeks. Or........... maybe not. Why would help him spend time away from me?!

Nope, I'll keep the hours to the minimum each month.
